Root Beer Floats are a Summer staple. Made with vanilla ice cream and topped with fresh whipped cream and a frosted rim these floats are perfect for summer fun.
Summertime has always been one of the most cherished times of my youth. Summer meant days spent nonchalantly cruising the streets on my bike with friends.
Oh, but make sure you are home before the street lights come on. That reminder from my mother will always be ingrained into my head.
I miss my adventures into the woods, and not having a care in the world. Some of the best times of my youth were spent outdoors enjoying life.
Making classic summer memories with my friends and family at picnics and barbecues were also the best. Root beer floats, s’mores, hot dogs on a stick followed by some sweet watermelon-I loved it all.
Now as a dad to three, the times have obviously changed quite a bit. However, one thing that remains true is that it is my goal to make the BEST summer memories with my kids.
During family picnics like Fourth of July, I want my kids to simply enjoy life outdoors. I want my kids to enjoy their sweet treats like Root Beer Floats and get a little dirty.
During our family picnics, I want lots of laughter, fun, and enjoyment.
These are the little things in life we should soak up and enjoy. Spending time with my family outdoors is what matters most.
We recently enjoyed a patriotic “early” Fourth of July party this past weekend. The weather had been pretty terrible lately, but we finally got a few peeks of sunshine to make it all work.
Our kids were totally smitten with their Patriotic Root Beer Floats. They were actually pretty easy to make too!
