Are you looking for an easy to make appetizer that will be the life of the party? If so, I have the absolute perfect idea for you all! It is the very first recipe I fell in love with while browsing the Walmart entertaining booklet I received in the mail last week. I knew I had to replicate the Snowman Cheese Ball as soon as I laid eyes on it!
Three cheeses, slivered almond, and chives–what is not to love about the Snowman Cheese Ball. Honestly, my family used to splurge on gourmet cheeseballs in the past years, but not anymore! I was so impressed with this recipe from the Kraft Foods Hub that I couldn’t wait to try it out! In fact, I even plan on making two more for my Christmas celebrations! That’s why I need to head over to Walmart and stock up on all the supplies I”ll need!
Typically, I find myself searching Pinterest for holiday meal planning inspiration. I am so happy that I was able to come across both the Walmart Holiday Entertaining booklet, and Kraft Foods Hug because there were jam packed with great recipes. There were drinks, sweet treats, and finger foods; even main dishes that would totally wow my guests!
Doesn’t this Snowman Cheeseball look adorable? Almost too cute to dig into! We paired our’s with some delicious Wheat Thins, but you could even serve it with vegetable sticks, or another type of cracker like Ritz. It was also so easy to make because it literally was as simple as mixing the cheese, spice, chives, and slivered almonds. Forming the balls was fairly easy, and adding the peppercorn “buttons” and carrot nose were a blast!
- 8 ounces of Philadelphia Cream Cheese
- 1 bag of Kraft Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- 1/4 cup Kraft Shredded Parmesan Cheese
- 1/4 cup finely chopped chives
- 1/4 cup Plantar’s Slivered Almonds; toasted
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 Baby carrot
Mix your cream cheese, cheddar, chives, almonds, and cayenne pepper; refrigerate for one hour
Divide your cheese into three balls-one large, one medium, one small
Arrange balls to resemble a snowman on a serving platter
Add peppercorns, and baby carrot. We shaped our carrot by carving it into a little pointy nose.
Arrange crackers, or veggies around the platter.
