A Classic Hurricane Cocktail
Summer is the ultimate time to kick back and enjoy some good drinks with friends. Fruity adult cocktails with the perfect amount of alcohol like this Blue Hawaiian Cocktail or this Toasted Marshmallow Martini are the perfect recipes to indulge in.
The Hurricane is made with both light and dark rum and a blend of tropical ingredients like Torani Passion Fruit flavor syrup. This is such an incredible mixed drink!
I guess you could say that this tropical flavored Hurricane Cocktail is the only hurricane I will be enjoying this year!
I love the way the passion fruit syrup, orange juice and rum pairs together. Add in some fresh squeezed lime and you have an amazing cocktail that even a person who is not to “big on alcohol” will enjoy.
Isn’t the colors on this Hurricane pretty? It would be the perfect drink for the Fourth of July. Add some ice for the “white” and make a companion bath of Blue Hawaiian drinks and you got all the red, white, and blue you need.
Tips
These Hurricane Drinks also make some awesome gelatin shots! Just mix these ingredients with plain gelatin and chill in the refrigerator.
If you really like a sweet drink, you could add in some Torani Cane Sweetener, but in my opinion this drink is sweet enough.
Tools & Supplies
I bought these cute cups at Target and they are by Threshold.
I found my drink mixer at Home Goods (this one is similar on Amazon)– my fave store for all things home–gosh could I get lost in there!
Want to recreate only the yummiest, tropical cocktail that even an amateur would enjoy?
Torani Hurricane Cocktail ingredients:
2 ounces of both white & dark rum
2 Torani Passion Fruit flavor syrup
1-ounce orange juice
1-ounce lime juice
1/2 ounce Torani Grenadine
1/2 ounce Torani Cane Sweetener
Ice cubes
Orange/Cherries to garnish
Directions:
In a shaker, add a few ice cubes and all the liquid ingredients and shake until combined.
Pour into your glass that is filled with ice.
Garnish with cherries and orange.
This drink is every bit fun as it is fruity. Of course, if you like rum you can go a little heavier on it, but we like to play it safe.
As always, drink responsibly!
