Family vacations are one of life’s greatest treasures. Our family looks forward to our annual road trip to the south almost every June. This year however, due to some home renovations we sacrificed a larger scale adventure and settled on some more more manageable day trips. Next year we plan on going BIG with a Carnival Cruise, but we are not yet sure on which ship or port we’d like to sail out of since their are so many amazing options.
The reality of things are we are truly blessed to have a healthy family, and the funds to vacation yearly. Many people right here in the US are not as lucky and could only dream of being able to sail to the Mediterranean on a luxury cruise liner. Between the lack of time off, family situations, and even health issues, their are thousands of families who could only dream of taking a luxury cruise. That is why the new show Vacation Creation produced by O.C.E.A.N Carnival is one of my family’s new favorite Saturday morning programs.
Vacation Creation airs on Saturday mornings on The CW at 10:30 est. Hosts Andrea Feczkoo and Tommy Davidson surprise one deserving family each week with a cruise of a lifetime. Hopeful families write in and explain their hardships and why they could use a cruise to reconnect and recharge as a family. This week’s episode feature the Geoghegan Family who had a tough year after the father had a stroke causing such financial hardships, and sacrifices among the entire family which included three young children.
It was so touching to see the look of surprise, and hope, and appreciation in the Geoghegan Family’s eyes when they found out they would be sailing on a Mediterranean Cruise to Greece via the Royal Princess. They enjoyed the ships beautiful pool, spa, and amenities. To see the look of relaxation, and enjoyment in the families eyes was so heartwarming.
However, when the shop docked in Greece, it was even more magical. They had so many neat surprises in store for the Geoghegan Family which included rich Greek heritage, dance, and even a wedding vow renewal ceremony. This 20 minute episode packed such a heartwarming and adventurous punch that it truly made me excited for my family’s future cruse endeavors.
You can catch Vacation Creation on The CW Saturday mornings at 10:30 est. I urge you to watch it and see just how awesome these Carnival Cruise family of ships truly are! So far, Holland America, and Princess Cruises have been featured in the first two episodes. You can also catch fun cruise ship stats which our kids enjoyed.
