This kid-friendly Waffle Bowl with Fruit & Yogurt snack is a fun & easy recipe made with wholesome ingredients. We are Juicy Juice Ambassadors. All views expressed are that of our own.
Our kids are officially on their first full week of no-school. Summer vacation is in full swing and soon we will leave for our annual family vacation.
It has been quite the adventure so far, but the key to keeping my kids busy this summer is by encouraging unplugged activity outdoors.
Thankfully, our three kids love their bikes, and inexpensive toys like jump ropes, bubbles, and sidewalk chalk. These iconic kids toys keep them enjoying the less is more approach with more laughter, more playtime, and less of the junk they do not need in their lives.
Speaking of junk, I have made it a point to stock my fridge and pantry with more wholesome foods for the summer. This doesn’t mean we are giving up the occasional piece of candy or cake. We are just “cleaning” up our snacking.
One product that is helping with the less is more mantra is Juicy Juicy. Their all new line of Fruitifuls Organic Juice is available in apple, fruit punch, and grape.
Each serving contains 45% less sugar than conventional juices, 1/2 cup of fruit per 8 ounces, and it tastes delicious.
It is the perfect juice to pack for picnics, parties, and to enjoy after a long day of play. You can purchase it in 6.75 oz. juice boxes, or now available in new 59-ounce bottles.
Our kids love all the flavors, and I love that they are getting in their fruit servings without any unwanted fillers.
Waffle Bowl with Fruit & Yogurt Ingredients
Looking for a fun, kid-friendly snack that is perfect for the kids this summer? These Waffle Bowl with Fruit & Yogurt snacks make a great choice. Just cater the ingredients to the amount of snack you would like to make.
- 5 waffle cups
- 1 cup strawberry yogurt
- 1 Kiwi Fruit
- 1 peach
- 1 banana
- 5 large strawberries
- 5 blackberries
How to Prevent Waffle Bowl Sogginess
If you plan on making these for a party, I suggest coating the inside of the waffle bowls with white or milk chocolate since they do get soggy. The layer of chocolate will form a barrier to prevent the cone from getting soggy from the yogurt.
If you plan on eating these right away you will not need any chocolate.
You can also use any flavor fruit, or yogurt you prefer. We have also made these with waffle cones as well! Subbing in frozen yogurt would make a nice treat for hot days!
