5 Ways to Welcome Guests this Holiday Season
This post has been sponsored by Shaw’s Supermarket. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I cannot believe we are already in October! The leaves are starting to change color and the chill is officially here. This year, we are investing in a pellet stove not only for the warmth, but for the ambiance. It will be so much cozier for guests this holiday season.
Speaking of the holiday season, can you believe Thanksgiving is already next month? I am a little in disbelief and need time to slow down just a tad! But, in my usual plan-ahead fashion, I am already starting to stock up on essentials for entertaining and guests this holiday season.
This year, Shaw’s Supermarkets is the place to be for stocking up on holiday staples like Coca-Cola Classic, Starbucks Veranda Blend Ground Coffee, and Bounty Select-A-Size Paper Towels.
Oh, and I cannot forget the Nature Valley Crunchy Oats n Honey Granola Bars to keep us fueled! All these items are currently on sale at Shaw’s for the BEST prices of the season!!
I don’t know about you, but when I think of having guests over, the first thing I make sure I have are beverages! Having my second fridge stocked with water, Coke, juice, and more is super important! Having plenty of coffee on-hand is also a must! Pretty much all our friends and family are coffee drinkers so having these on-hand and in abundance are a no-brainer.
Bounty Paper Towels are one of our favorite brands and we are ALWAYS sure to stock up when the prices get hot.
The Shaw’s Stock Up Sale has these for an amazing price! With 3 kids and one dog, the spills around here are a constant thing so having thick and strong Bounty Select-A-Size on-hand equals peace of mind.
Plus, I use Bounty to clean my windows, counters, bathrooms-pretty much everything!
I tend to kick-up the cleaning into full gear around the holiday season to make sure my home is clean and inviting.
Speaking of clean and inviting, here are 5 Ways to Welcome Guests this Holiday Season:
Welcome Sign: I created this welcome sign using a dollar store frame, white chalk paint, and a quick print out. You can easily do this and add your WIFI password so guests can use your wifi and not their own data.
Snacks: I created some simple welcome printouts I cut out of computer paper and adhered to the Nature Valley Granola Bars.
Leaving these in a welcome basket on their bed, or near the coffee area is an inexpensive gesture.
You should always have some baked-goods on hand too for company.
Things like store bought donuts, cookies work. Shaw’s Bake Shop has plenty of fresh-baked goodies for your convenience.
Coffee Mug Tray: Most guests love coffee so having an abundance of clean mugs, and coffee like Starbucks K-cups or a ground variety is a must. This lets guests know they are free to enjoy some coffee.
Drinks: As mentioned above, I always like to have plenty of soda on hand for guests.
To jazz things up around the holidays, I tie a straw and napkin on my Coke cans and leave them in the fridge.
This allows guests to have a straw and napkin readily available.
Entertainment: Besides offering a freshly-washed bedding with extra pillows, you should also consider providing guests with some entertainment for down time. Things like puzzles, adult coloring books, or child-friendly activities offer them the comfort of home while visiting.
Overall, I hope I inspired you all with these 5 Ways to Welcome Guests this Holiday Season. I purchased these products and more at my local Shaw’s, but you can also stock up and save at any of the Albertsons Companies family of stores including Albertsons, Safeway, ACME Markets, Jewel-Osco, Vons, Pavilions, Randalls, Tom Thumb, Star Market, and Carrs/Safeway. Visit the Shaw’s website to find a store near you and discover some fun meal prep tips and recipe ideas.
The products mentioned in this post are on sale at the Albertsons Companies family of stores from 10/5 to 10/11, and new products will be on sale from 10/12 to 10/18. Products on sale at United retailers may differ.

Love the printables, especially the welcome sign. What a great idea to print the WiFi password on the welcome sign.

Shaws has everything you need for your holiday planning. I have always loved Bounty papertowels. They are great quality and I use less because of that. I love how you dressed up your Coke products, such a cute idea.

I love that coffee blend. It is my favorite one from Starbucks. I do like that I can also get rewards on the package.

I was always taught that if you’re having company, always make sure you have double of what you need and always have baked goods on hand. Much more inviting than other snack items

I love the idea of the coffee mug tray. That way guests can help themselves and don’t feel like they have to ask for it. I’m going to try this when my daughter an her boyfriend come for Christmas.

I’m embarrassed with my WIFI sign – love the idea of course and your special details for guests.
