Easy Nacho Pie

Easy Nacho Pie is a delicious Tex-Mex dish that requires one pound of ground beef and a handful of additional easy to find ingredients. Doritos provides the crunchy top layer for this pie that can be made effortlessly to feed a family.

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 ounce taco seasoning
  • 1 large onion
  • 1 large yellow bell pepper any color will work!
  • 30 ounces Pinto Beans rinsed
  • 16 ounces Taco Sauce
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar
  • 5 ounces Doritos

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 11 x 9 casserole dish with nonstick spray; set aside.
  • In a large skillet, brown the onion with the diced onion, and pepper with taco seasoning. Drain any excess fat.
  • Add the cooked beef and vegetable mixture to the bottom of an 11 x 9 casserole dish.
  • Rinse pinto beans and add them to the top of the beef layer.
  • Pour taco sauce on top of the beans.
  • Add a thick layer of shredded cheddar, followed by crumbled Doritos.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F. for 12-15 minutes or until cheese is melted. If you do not like toasty Doritos, you can add them after the pie comes out of the oven.
