Equipment

  • Air fryer
  • Better Breader XL
  • measuring spoons
  • paper towels
  • Small bowl
  • Microwave

Ingredients

Battered Wings

  • 3 pounds chicken wings drummettes and flats
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Olive oil cooking spray (non-silicone variety)

Garlic Parmesan Wing Coating

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped
  • teaspoons garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to your spice preference)

Instructions

Dry Battered Wings in Better Breader XL

  • Pour the dry batter mix into the bottom of the Better Breader XL. No need for extra bowls, it's that simple!
  • Pat your wings dry with paper towels. Then, pop them into the Better Breader XL tray and shake, shake, shake! All the wings get evenly coated in delicious spices with no mess on your hands.
  • Preheat your air fryer: Follow your air fryer's instructions for preheating, usually around 400°F (200°C).
  • Arrange your wings in a single layer to ensure even air circulation and maximum crispness. Overcrowding leads to soggy wings, and nobody wants that!Depending on your air fryer's size, you may need to cook in batches
  • Air Fry for around 10-12 minutes per side for smaller wings and 14-16 minutes for larger ones. Halfway through cooking, flip your wings to ensure even browning and crispness on both sides. Note that you might need to remove the tray to spray the other side of the wings. The wings are done when they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). You can use a meat thermometer to check, but usually golden-brown crispy skin is a good indicator.
  • Transfer the cooked wings to a plate and let them rest for a couple of minutes before tossing them in the buttery garlic parmesan sauce.

Garlic Parmesan Wing Coating

  • Melt the butter in a small bowl in the microwave.
  • Stir in the Parmesan cheese and parsley.Add the garlic powder, red pepper flakes, and black pepper, and mix well to combine.Taste and adjust the seasonings to your liking.
  • Brush this magical mixture onto your air fried wings.
  • Enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce.
