Honey Mustard Steak Bowl with Rice & Quinoa

Tender steak, caramelized onions, swiss, and honey mustard sit on a top of fluffy rice and quinoa grains. This is a delicious and easy meal with a sweet and savory flavor.

Ingredients

  • 6 ounces Minute Instant Rice & Quinoa *two pouches + 2 cups of water to prepare
  • 1 pound shaved steak
  • 1 tablespoon salted butter
  • 1 medium onion sweet, yellow, or Vidalia
  • 4 ounces swiss cheese shredded
  • ½ cup honey mustard
  • salt & pepper *to taste

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, add mayonnaise, honey, and Dijon mustard; stir until creamy and combined.
  • Prepare Minute Instant Rice & Quinoa as directed while you cook the steak.
  • In a large cast iron skillet, over medium heat melt butter, and then add sliced onions. Season onions with salt and pepper to taste. Once onions start to become tender, add shaved steak. Season steak with salt and pepper and cook until just browned- do not dry it out.
  • Sprinkle in the shredded swiss and stir to melt.
  • Add Minute Instant Rice & Quinoa to bowls, and top with steak, cheese, and onions.
  • Swizzle on honey mustard sauce before enjoying.
