Equipment

  • ice pop molds

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Orange Juice fresh, carton, or mixed from concentrate using the tips above
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons Honey Agave, or Sugar: Highly recommended. Sweetener acts as an anti-freeze agent, preventing the treat from turning into a rock-solid ice block.
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh Lemon Juice: Optional but a tiny splash of acid brightens the sweetness and makes the citrus pop.

Instructions

  • In a large measuring cup or pitcher, combine your orange juice, sweetener, and lemon juice. Stir until the sweetener is completely dissolved.
  • Carefully pour the mixture into your ice pop molds, leaving about a quarter-inch of headspace at the top to allow for expansion as it freezes.
  • Insert your sticks. If your mold uses a lid with built-in slots, secure it tightly.
  • Place the molds in the freezer for at least 6 hours (overnight is best) to ensure they are completely set.
