Make Your Own Orange Juice Popsicles
When I was little my mom would always make us homemade treats like cookies, muffins, and even popsicles. My favorite popsicles that she made were called orange juice popsicles. They were easy to make, and tasted really fresh, and delicious.
I have always wanted to make them as an adult but I never had the frozen pop molds.
I lucked out at Target a few weeks ago because the Jelly Belly Popsicle molds were 70% off. After bringing them home I kind of forgot about them for a while until my daughter asked for a popsicle. Sure, this is certainly not a rocket science type of recipe, but it is a good idea if you have never tried it! I assure you orange juice popsicles are pretty healthy, and they taste really amazing! You could even make them with 100% apple juice, and even grape juice-pretty much any good juice will do.
To make orange juice popsicles all you need is a nice pulp free orange juice, and the popsicle molds. Simply fill them to the top, add the handle, or stick, and freeze for a good two hours. After that, you should have a nice, low cost treat without all the extra sugar, a dyes.
Mmm I love orange juice pops! And all kinds of natural fruit.. Here are a couple of my favorite:
With most fruit, if you blend it and pour it into the mold, it is too easy to suck the juice out and end up with an ice pop. Try just jamming the handles into chunks of fruit (I suggest seedless watermelon!) and freezing. They turn out pretty great
Coconut_ Blend a can of coconut milk with sweetener (Honey powder is the best) and a drop of vanilla (optional). Dump it into your molds and freeze for creamy, decadent pops. Sometimes I even add coconut shreds or a little cocoa powder..
refreshing Popsicles! A perfect treat for summer!
Thanks!! Just what we needed!!
