Looking for another fun, and simple Valentine’s Day gift or sweet treat idea? Why not make these cute, and fun Valentine’s Day Marshmallow Pops & Candies?
They are so inexpensive to make, take about 10 minutes max in the kitchen! I made them this weekend and was done before I knew it! My girls love seasonal treats so I wanted to make them an “occasional” sweet treat.
Valentine’s Day Marshmallow Pops
These Valentine’s Day Marshmallow Pops & Candies would be a great classroom DIY treat, an awesome classmate gift, or just a fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon.
You can use any chocolate, but we went with the Wilton Red Candy chips since it would be more festive. This time I actually melted the candy product in the microwave. It is not real chocolate, and seemed to fair well with this method.
Supplies Needed
- 1 half of a package of Wilton Red Candy Melts
- 1 package of Campfire heart-shaped marshmallows
- 1 package of paper straws
- Celebration Pearls, red edible glitter crystals
- wax paper
- Baking sheets for laying out your hearts (to be chilled later)
How to Make Valentine’s Marshmallow Candy Pops
Carefully melt your candy product in the microwave in 30-second intervals using medium-powered heat. Make sure you stir in between to prevent candy from burning.
Dip one half of your heart marshmallows into the candy face down.
Place them on your wax papered baking sheet and add sprinkles or candies right away since these candies firm up quickly.
Allow them to harden at room-temperature for at least 15 minutes.
Carefully insert cake pops sticks into the center of your hearts.
Bag and twist tie the tops for gifting. Additionally, you can store them in an airtight container until you are ready to enjoy. These stay fresh for up to 3 days.
We had a blast eating and making these! For under $5, it was a fun treat for the kids to make during Valentine’s Day.
