These DIY Easter Bunny Treat Bags are super easy to make and are perfect DIY project for Easter goodies. Make them with the kids or leave them as an Easter Bunny surprise. All you need are some simple supplies to make them.
Easter is one of my favorite holidays because it falls in the Springtime. I just love the Spring because trees start to bud, flowers begin blooming and little bees are buzzing. It is also the time for lots of baby bunnies to be born.
I grew up around bunnies and probably had over 1,000 as a kid. My father used to mate them so there were always baby bunnies around. Now, as an adult I do not have any pet bunnies, but I do decorate my home with lots of cute Easter and Spring bunnies.
I thought it would be fun to make the kids Bunny Treat bags and try to deflect their minds off the current chaos in the world.
These bunny treat bags are cute for lunches, snack, goodie bags, or filled with your favorite Easter Candy or snacks. We filled ours with Color It Candy Foiled Chocolate Balls, and my homemade Easter Bunny Bait.
Supplies
- Paper bags- I used white lunch bags
- Foiled candy balls
- Cotton balls
- Raffia
- Hot glue gun
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Ruler
Make them
Place paper bags with the flat side down (not the side with the bottom flap).
With a pencil and ruler, measure down about 2 1/2″ to the center of the bag and leave 1/2″ section on each side of the bag opening.
Using scissors, cut out the triangle; repeat for each bag.
Once they are all set, heat your glue gun up and glue a pink foil ball on the flat facing side of each bag. I went about 2″ up from the center of the bag and glued the ball on each.
Turn each bag around and glue the cotton tail about 1″ up from the bottom.
Fill each bag with goodies.
Tie each bag off with about 10-12″ of raffia.
Perk up the ears and gift! These are super cute and easy to make as you can see! Fill them with plastic eggs or non-candy treats for Easter.
They look adorable by viewing them from the front or back. If you want to skip a step and decorate just one side, you can do that as well.
