A warm, and spicy fall tea drink that is low in calories but high in flavor. This post is sponsored by Mirum. All views expressed are that of our own.
My kids have officially been back to school for 2 whole days!
It is party time over here! I have peace and quiet and can actually focus on my tasks at-hand. I don’t have to get up to get a million snacks, or be a referee for fights. Life is good right now!
Ok, so all kidding aside, I love my kids but I also love time to myself which is a commodity around here. My early morning trips to the market have been so easy and hassle-free. Today, I picked up some tea, ice cream, body wash, and some rice for dinner. All the items I was able to snag will soon be on sale at Stop & Shop starting 8/31 (this Friday)!
You all know I love a good deal so I really love to stock up whenever Stop & Shop (Ahold) and Unilever to team up for their $15 save $5 deals! This season’s deal coincides with Feeding America’s Change Hunger, Change Lives initiative.
Did you know that 13% of US families do not have the food they need to thrive? I don’t know about you but that makes me really upset. It is so tragic to think that families right here in our great country are going without when I am so blessed. In fact, a whopping 16.2 million children live in homes that are food insecure and 20% of those families are not eligible for food assistance.
But, there are ways we can help to give back thanks to stand up companies like Unilever and their trustworthy brands.
When you buy $15 of select Unilever products, you will not only save $5 instantly, but your purchase will feed 10 families!! But, it gets better! If you all share the below video on your social media channels, $1 will be donated when the hashtag #ChangeHungerChangeLives is used (up to $5,000). You can reshare our social posts we will have on Facebook, Instagram, & Twitter!
I decided to get a head start and purchase some Breyer’s, Knorr Rice Sides, Dove, and Lipton products because I was low on stock. I will be really stocking up this weekend to take part in this amazing deal!
With the fall right around the corner, I also wanted to inspire you all to take part in this deal to give back and perhaps purchase some Lipton Tea!
Tea is one of them beneficial drinks that are perfect for the fall. But, when you make Mulled Spice Hot Black Tea things really “heat up”.
Here is what you will need for Mulled Spice Black Tea for Multiple Servings:
*If you are making just one, use 1 tea bag, piping hot water, and add 2 cloves, 1 star anise, and one cinnamon stick to one mug and steep for 3-5 minutes. It is more economical to make multiple servings.
Ingredients:
- Lipton Black Tea Bags- 2
- 4 Cups of boiling water
- 1 Star Anise
- 5 Cloves
- 1 Cinnamon Stick
- Orange Zest
Directions:
Rinse Teapot with hot water to warm.
Add the boiling water, tea bags orange zest, star anise, cinnamon stick, and cloves.
Steep for 3-5 minutes with tea bags. After that, remove bags to prevent a bitter taste, and allow to steep for an additional 3 minutes.
You may strain the contents, and sweeten with stevia or sugar if you wish.
Enjoy!
I hope I inspired you all to not only make this Mulled Spice Black Tea, but to also help Feeding America and Unilever to feed families that are less fortunate. Remember, a simple share of the video with the hashtag is all it takes to make a difference!
