Sounds funny huh? Lately, it is so true though. Just call me the party meatball chic. I used to bring my sweet and savory slow cooker meatballs made with cranberry sauce to parties, but now I have switched to using Grape Preserves–sounds super weird huh?
I thought so too until a friend suggested I try it! Once I did, I can honestly say I will NEVER go back!
Intrigued, excited, or eager to try these 2 Ingredient Sweet and Spicy Slow Cooker Meatballs out? All you need are some homemade or frozen meatballs. I usually use my gluten free meatballs recipe, but last time I decided to go with some fire grilled frozen variety.
I have to say, I have NEVER used frozen meatballs before, but they sure are convenient, and surprisingly tasty.
Sweet and Spicy Slow Cooker Meatballs Ingredients
- 3 lbs of frozen or homemade meatballs
- (2) – 12 ounce bottles of chili sauce
- (1)- 24 ounce jar of Grape Preserves
How to Make Sweet & Spicy Slow Cooker Party Meatballs
Pour sauces, and jam into your slow cooker, and then add your meatballs. Obviously if you are using frozen meatballs, about 30 minutes is all you need to cook them.
You would need more time if you use homemade–about 3 hours on low.
Once your meatballs are done, just secure your slow cooker, place it in the car, and head to your destination.
Your meatballs will be the star of the show! Trust me when I say it is VERY hard to eat just one or 2!

Sweet & Spicy 2 Ingredients Slow Cooker Meatballs
Ingredients
- 32 oz frozen meatballs
- 24 oz chili sauce
- 12 oz grape jelly
Instructions
- Place meatballs in slow cooker.
- Add sauces and let the mixture simmer for at least one hour on low (the longer, the more flavorful).
- If you are using fresh meatballs, you will need to simmer for at least 3 hours.

I have used BBQ sauce with grape jelly but will be trying them using chili sauce.
I’m not a big fan of the frozen meatballs.; they’re too small and bla in taste.
I like making my own cause I know what all is my meatballs.

Normally, I think they are gross but the Shaw’s brand is soo darn good which is surprising!

I’ve been making these meatballs for years!..They are delicious!???? I use frozen meatballs. Ground meat, pork, chicken mix. Cooks about 3 hrs in crockpot low.

I tried another recipe and bought really hot chili sauce. What kind of chili sauce do you use? Is it sweet or mildly spicy? I have never seen grape preserves. Is that grape jelly? I look forward to trying your recipes.

Hello, I used store brand grape preserves, and Heinz Chili sauce. You can use grape jelly too.
