Irresistible 7 UP Biscuits Recipe (Made with Just 4 Ingredients). These buttery and easy baked biscuits are made with 7 UP soda and have a super moist, buttery flavor. Enjoy them alone or as part of a delicious breakfast sandwich.
One of my absolute favorite savory breakfast foods happens to be biscuits. I love when they are buttery, slightly crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside.
It use to be that I would drive almost a hour to a local restaurant to get these biscuits, but now I can confidently replicate them at home. The most jaw-dropping part of this newly discovered recipe is that they are made with 7 UP Soda!
We do not drink too much soda in this house, but when we do it is 7 UP. It is so versatile and can be mixed into mocktails, cocktails, and included in recipes like these biscuits.
7 UP Biscuits Recipe Ingredients
- Biscuit Mix- 4 cups + One cup for flouring work area
- 1 cup Sour Cream
- 1 cup of 7 UP Soda
- 1 stick + 1 tablespoon of melted butter
How to Make 7 Up Biscuits
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Add the 1 stick of melted butter to the bottom of a 9 x 13 Glass baking pan.
In a large bowl, combine the 4 cups of biscuit mix, sour cream, and 7 UP.
Combine until just mixed, but do not overwork. Dough will be VERY sticky.
Line your work space with parchment paper, and place the 1 cup of extra mix on top.
Flour a biscuit cutter and your hands.
Place dough on the work space, and sprinkle with extra biscuit mix.
Form a 1-inch thick disc. (thumb tip to your first joint is the right thickness) Cut biscuits from this disk.
Place each cut biscuit into the buttered dish. Keep in mind, dough should make the perfect amount of biscuits to line this size pan.
If dough becomes too sticky add more biscuit mix.
Repeat the process until all biscuits have been cut.
Once they are all cut, brush them with the 1 tablespoon of melted butter.
Bake at 425 F. for 20 minutes or until slightly golden brown.
This batch of 7 UP Biscuits was so darn delicious. The strange thing is you cannot taste the 7 UP in them, but it does some sort of magic and makes these biscuits so fluffy, and irresistible.
They are also fairly easy to cut into and make delectable bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit sandwiches.
My kids love the flavor of these biscuits, and they even ate all of them which is rare! Paired with the bacon, egg, and cheese, and you have a restaurant quality sandwich. You can also freeze these 7 UP biscuits for later use which I will be doing for my next batch.
