BLT Pasta Recipe Ingredients
Want to make this delicious and easy BLT pasta recipe? Check out what you will need below.
- 10 ounces Applewood Smoked Niman Ranch Bacon chopped
- 1 lb penne pasta
- 1 pint grape tomatoes
- 3 cups spinach
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp of butter
Make No Sauce Pasta
This recipe does not feature a red sauce. The tomatoes and spinach are cooked in the bacon juices which creates as “light, flavorful sauce”. Once the pasta is drained, it is tossed in the skillet where the bacon was cooked.
Toasted Garlic Panko Bread Crumbs
This pasta tastes extra delicious with a light coating of toasted garlic butter panko bread crumbs. It is super easy to toast the crumbs right in a small skillet on the stove.
Simply add the butter to your skillet, and then add the bread crumbs and the garlic powder.
Stir constantly until crumbs are a deep golden-brown- about 3 minutes.
You can add crumbs to a small jar to sprinkle over the pasta before eating.
This pasta is super delicious and leftovers heat very well.

BLT Pasta Recipe
Equipment
- 6 quart stock pot
- small skillet
- large skillet
Ingredients
- 10 ounces Applewood Smoked Niman Ranch Bacon chopped
- 1 lb penne pasta
- 1 pint grape tomatoes
- 3 cups spinach
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
Garlic Bread Crumbs
- 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 cup panko crumbs
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Add hot water to the stock pot to boil pasta. I typically fill my 6 qt stockpot halfway with water.
- Add chopped bacon to a large skillet and cover the pan loosely with foil to prevent grease spatter from going all over.
- Once the pasta water is boiling, place penne into the pan and cook until al dente.
- Cook bacon over medium-high heat until crispy. Once bacon is crisp, turn off heat, and use tongs to move it to a paper towel-lined plate.
- Add tomatoes to the pan add salt & pepper. Cook using the bacon grease until tomatoes burst-about 2 minutes.
- Add spinach to the pan and cook over low heat.
- Strain pasta and add it to the skillet with the tomatoes, and spinach.
- Stir pasta, spinach, and tomato–add in bacon
- Serve warm!
