Halloween is already next month and if you cannot tell from all the Halloween recipes I have been sharing lately between this blog and Sizzling Eats, I am excited! I was inspired to create some quick and fun Halloween recipes after a stroll through the local craft store. There were just many cute Halloween trinkets, paper, decor, and baking supplies. I am a sucker for adding more photo props to my collection so you bet I had to snag a few more things.
Sprinkles are one my favorite baking ingredients. I know, I know, they usually taste horrible, but they are so pretty! I might even be guilty of wiping them away, but they sure make me smile because they are super cute!
I found the Halloween sprinkles I used for this recipe on Amazon by Dean Jacob.
They are just so super adorable and really are a game changer when it comes to semi-homemade Halloween treats like these Easy Halloween Donuts.
My technique for these frosted donuts was born 4 years ago when I ran out if royal icing for cookies. I only had vanilla canned frosting in the house and decided to try to heat it to decorate my cookies. While I wasn’t able to capture really clean edges, I noticed that it hardened up nicely and still tasted good.
I later tried the same method on these Unicorn Donuts, and Mermaid Donuts which worked perfectly!
