- Pierogi (Mrs. T’s): Inside each soft pasta pocket, you’ll find a creamy mix of sharp cheddar and smooth mashed potatoes, seasoned perfectly with just the right touch of spices and salt.
- Kielbasa (or smoked ham): This adds a smoky, savory meatiness.
- Onion: This gives a sweet, savory flavor that deepens as it cooks.
- Cheddar Cheese: Melty, gooey cheese that binds everything together and adds richness.
- Garlic Powder, Salt, Pepper, Italian Herbs: These are our simple seasonings, adding layers of flavor.
- Chicken Stock & Cream of Chicken Soup: These make the creamy, flavorful sauce that everything cooks in. It keeps the casserole moist.
- Sour Cream: This adds a tangy creaminess, making the sauce extra delicious.
- Butter: Adds extra richness and flavor.

Making Slow Cooker Pierogi Casserole
- Gather Your Ingredients.
- Mix the Creamy Sauce: In a medium bowl, whisk together the chicken stock, cream of chicken soup, and sour cream until smooth and well combined.
- Layer the Casserole in the Slow Cooker: Layer half of the pierogi over the onions.Scatter half of the kielbasa or ham pieces over the pierogi. Sprinkle half of the shredded cheddar cheese over the meat. Pour half of the creamy sauce mixture evenly over the cheese.
- Repeat all the layers.
- Sprinkle over spices: Add garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Slow Cook to Perfection: Cover the slow cooker tightly. Cook on low heat for 2-3 hours on low, or until the pierogi are tender and the casserole is bubbly and hot. Stir mixture to combine.
- Serve: Sprinkle with Italian herbs before serving warm.

Ingredients
- 1.6 pounds Mrs. T's Classic Cheddar Mini Pierogis– family size *uses the entire bag
- 1 pound kielbasa *Can use your favorite precooked smoked meat cut into small pieces.
- 1 large onion sliced thin
- 8 ounces cheddar cheese
- ¾ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- 1½ cups chicken stock
- 10.5 ounces cream of chicken soup
- ½ cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon Italian herbs
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the chicken stock, cream of chicken soup, and sour cream; whisk until smooth.
- In the bottom of a slow cooker, add a third of the Mrs. T's Classic Cheddar Mini Pierogis.
- Add a third of the meat, and onions, and cheddar; repeat alternating layers until all pierogis, meat, onions, and cheese are used.
- Sprinkle salt, pepper, and garlic powder to the top of the casserole.
- Pour over the creamy mixture over the top of the casserole; add butter pads on top.
- Set slow cooker to low for 2-3 hours or until pierogis are tender.
- Stir casserole and add Italian herbs seasoning before serving. Enjoy
