The football season has almost ended and the Big Game is one week away. I am so excited that our New England home team will be playing.
It is always so much more exciting when you can root for your own team during the Big Game. This year, we will be having some family over to celebrate and enjoy some good food and drinks.
For the past week or so I have been sharing quite a few easy game day snacking ideas with you all. Today’s 10-minute recipe is no exception and will produce a tasty appetizer for your guests in no time.
Toasted Salami & Cheese Naan Bread anyone?
Stonefire Garlic Naan is the star of this appetizer. Paired with a coating of garlic butter, and topped with mozzarella cheese, smoked Genoa salami, sweet onions, and black olives; this snack is so delicious.
Each of the ingredients come together to complement the next and create a gourmet-tasting snack. The best part is, the time sacrifice in the kitchen is minimal despite the taste!
Want to make these Toasted Salami & Cheese Naan Bread? Here is what you will need:
- Stonefire Garlic Naan -1 package
- Genoa Smoked Salami -6 pieces
- Mozzarella Cheese-1/3 cup
- Black olives 1 tablespoons
- Sweet white onion sliced thin- 2 tablespoons full
- 1 tablespoons of butter melted + 1/2 tsp garlic powder mixed
We used these naturally football shaped breads to make Pepperoni & Cheese Naan bread. By using white string cheese, we were able to mimic the football thread lacing. However, it does bake up quite bubbly, but is simply scrumptious and ideal for your game time festivities.
I personally love setting up party tables so we wanted to share some visual Game Day Table inspiration.
We used an assortment of different sized football snack bowls. These are ideal for nuts, candies, toothpicks popcorn, and dips
General football napkins, plates, and cups can keep teams neutralized
Plain vanilla cupcakes were purchased at Stop & Shop and we decorated them with our own football toppers, and patriotic candy stars to represent our New England home team. This is such a time-saving hack and the cupcakes are typically much cheaper than the already decorated ones.
Referee Cup cozies are not only fun but keep drinks cold
A combination of red sequins and silver and blue football confetti tied the table decor together and is fun for the kids
Appetizers that require very little heating are always best, and that is why this Toasted Salami & Cheese Naan Bread is awesome!
