Farmhouse Easter Tree

Are you looking for a fun and unique Farmhouse Easter decor ideas? How about pulling your Christmas tree out of storage to decorate it for Easter? Today, I am sharing how I designed my Farmhouse-inspired Easter Tree!

If you love to decorate your home for the seasons, you are not alone. After the dreary, winter days I am always most excited to decorate for spring. I just love adding pretty pastel pops of color around my home to signify the start of my favorite season here in Massachusetts.

In the past, I’ve decorated an all seasons mini tree for every holiday. It was a tiny, primitive one that fit nicely in the corner. In fact, I recently purchased another which I have also decorated this year for Easter.

I also used to have this Primitive White Branch Easter Egg Tree which was a staple in my home before I moved. I loved how unique it looked with bright pops of egg colors on the skinny branches. You can see that DIY on the blog by clicking above.

But today, I am sharing how my tree went from Christmas to Valentine’s Day and now to Easter Tree.

Decorating it

I really, really love the size and shape of this flocked tree. It is the perfect balance of skinny, yet full if that makes sense. The color and style are really complementary of one another making it a Farmhouse style dream.

The first thing to do before decorating your tree is to establish a color palette. What colors are you looking to mesh together for a cohesive look? As you can see, I pulled the blues, pinks, greens, and orange colors. I wanted light colors that didn’t overpower one another.

My tree’s base coloring can balance both pastel coloring and bolder reds with no issues unlike my other 3 trees–yes, I have like 5 now–don’t remind Jared. So I knew going lighter would not be an issue.

For Easter, I left 3 elements from my Valentine’s Day tree on it. The iridescent skirt, the large baby pink glass balls, and the white tulle garland.

I wanted to really showcase the spring theme so I added floral bunches like succulents, sprays, and bouquets from Michael’s. I think this was a really unique addition that makes the tree feel so refreshing and beautiful.

For the ornaments (I have a tutorial coming this week) I used dollar store carrots and speckled eggs ((only in select colors)) and made them into ornaments with twine.

I also deconstructed a bunny carrot garland from Home Goods to stretch my budget and get little pops of this bunny with a carrot evenly around the front facing branches.

The mini bunnies are ones I have had for years so I added those cute additions as an afterthought.

Lastly, I topped it with a large-sized nest for an overall complete spring look.

Honestly, this tree is super cute and really complements my other decor.

Speckled Eggs DIY

If you want to make your own speckled egg ornaments, follow this speckled eggs DIY and add a 4 inch piece of twine to the backs of each egg with hot glue. This will help you tailor your tree color palette to exactly what you want.
