Anyone who knows me, realizes that I love decorating. I am the early bird of the neighborhood and start my seasonal and holiday decorating about 6 weeks ahead of time. I decorate for Valentine’s Day, Easter, 4th of July, Halloween, and Christmas with some additional seasonal motif in-between each.
I just love decorating my home so much because it comes so naturally. You can find me shopping each week for pretty decor that catches my eye and price-point. Finding after season clearance is one of my biggest thrills in life–I know, it might sound lame but when you enjoy decorating it is so much fun!
Places like Target, Amazon, Hobby Lobby, Home Goods, and Michael’s are my top faves. But, you can also find after holiday discounts pretty much everywhere!
Have I told you guys about the time I bought my 4th Christmas tree at Target for 90%? Haha…that was only 2 weeks ago and my husband wanted to hurt me! I just couldn’t leave it behind because for $30 it was a steal!
It joins my Charlie Brown, traditional heirloom, and my Treetopia Flocked Tree. In fact, Treetopia has a tree that is pretty identical to the Valentine’s Day one pictured. You can find that model here on sale!
Valentine’s Day Tree Idea
So, after cleaning and storing my Christmas decor Jared helped me put this flocked model up and I got to work shopping. Dawn over at Cutefetti asked me if I wanted to join her in this Valentine’s Day Tree collab and of course I was so game! Check out her Pink Valentine’s Day Tree below!
In fact, I literally had my tree up and decorated completely within 24 hours–no joke! I mean, it was super easy considering I do a Valentine’s Day tree every year! I used to have what I called an “all seasons tree” that I would decorate for each season. But, one day I decided to get rid of it when I was in a purging mode. Now, I totally want it back—wahh!!
Ornaments
For this look, it was super easy curating ornaments because 1. I already had some on-hand, and 2- I shopped the heck out of after Christmas sales. Thank goodness pink and glittery cuteness are in. I would never not decorate traditionally for Christmas, but for Valentine’s Day I was totally going for all things pink!
You can use any shades of white, red, pink or even some purples to make your tree POP. I used the following on my 7″ flocked tree:
- Pink glitter heart ornaments (1 pack)
- Pink Matte and shiny ball ornaments (1 pack)
- Pink and white pom puffs (10 puffs) (Hobby Lobby)
- Glitter magenta ornaments (4 packs)
- Shatterproof ornaments in magenta
- Pink gem ornaments (Target)
- Glitter pink star (Target)
- Unicorn ornaments
- White tulle
- White iridescent tree skirt
To give my tree a cohesive look, I made sure to spread out the ornaments so there were even colors and various shapes and sizes through. I had a jumbo star ornament on-hand that I decided to use for the top. I love stars so it works out!
The iridescent skirt really tied everything together. While this look is not completely famrhouse in style, I made sure to decorate my hutch with my Rae Dunn Valentine’s Day accents and some rustic hearts I found at Christmas Tree Shop.
Overall, I am really impressed by my Valentine’s Day Tree and so far, everyone who has seen it really loves it.
I hope you are inspired to decorate your own Valentine’s Day tree! Let me know below if you plan to!

I’d love to have a flocked tree to keep up all winter long. So much fun to change out the decor for each winter holiday!

I love this idea! I’ve told my husband multiple times that we should keep our tree up all year and just change the decor for the current holiday.

That is an awesome idea. However, I know there will be one major protester in my house. (the husband – hehe). I would opt for a smaller, table top artificial tree if I go ahead and make a Valentine’s Day tree.

Love this idea! I was struggling to come up with a unique way to decorate for Valentine’s Day this year, but the tree is perfect for my decor.
