Why I Love These Gift Ideas
I love giving gifts. But when I’m on a budget, it can be challenging to find an inexpensive gift that’s thoughtful and personal. That’s why I love to make my own gift baskets, trays, or mugs. Each year, I love to center my gifting creativity around one or two items. This year, these affordable Hot Chocolate Bombs by R.M. Palmer were the star of the show. Retailing at around a $1 price point, they make enjoying a sweet holiday moment attainable and affordable for all.
Since hot cocoa is a favorite in our home, I love these gifting variations because I was able to put together multiple looks, and options for all budgets. Showing someone you care or are thinking of them this season doesn’t have to cost much and these hot chocolate gifts prove just that!
Affordable Hot Cocoa Bombs? They do Exist!
In the last year, hot cocoa bombs have been a trending sweet experience. The art of dropping a chocolate ball with sweet fillings like additional cocoa or marshmallow into warm milk or water has gone viral. Many people are now creating homemade versions of these delicious concoctions. Unfortunately, the prices and work involved to make these cocoa confections are pretty high. I love that R.M. Palmer has made these chocolatey treats for people like us that might not want to spend upwards of $5 per ball.
New for 2021, Palmer has added a 1.25-ounce chocolatey ball filled with mini marshmallows for around $1. My kids absolutely LOVED making hot cocoa with these. Simply drop it into a cup, pour hot milk or water over it and watch it burst with mini mallows. We typically add these to hot cocoa pouches for an even sweeter experience. Paired with one of their chocolatey Stirring Spoons and you have one inexpensive moment of bliss.
