Bagels and cream cheese are one of our family’s favorite breakfasts. We love how easy brands like Lender’s Bagels are to prepare for a large family in the hectic mornings. My children love the Plain, Blueberry, and Cinnamon-Raisin flavors because they are kid-friendly, and really great for the entire family. While I enjoy all the available flavors, I admit, I am more of a savory girl so I am partial to the Onion flavor which pairs so well with my easy Homemade Scallion Cream Cheese Recipe.
Lender’s has a bagel for everyone! On a recent shopping trip to Walmart, I picked up a bag of Plain Bagels and a bag of Onion Bagels. They were located in the refrigerated dairy section right near the cream cheese. I also picked up some Great Value milk for breakfasts. My kids love their milk so always having a gallon available is a must in this home.

Now, back to these bagels and a yummy recipe I cannot wait to share with you all! Since Lender’s Bagels for breakfast are time-saving, easy, tasty and nutritious I had to make a companion spread for them. This Homemade Scallion Cream Cheese spread on a Lender’s Bagel, paired with a glass of milk is truly the start to building a better breakfast!
- 1 8 ounce package of plain cream cheese (room temp.)
- 1/2 cup of chopped scallions
- 2 tablespoons of regular sour cream
In a bowl, combined the room temperature cream cheese and sour cream until fairly smooth.
